Human Rights Policy

(Basic Policy on Human Rights – Acima Corporation)

At Acima Corporation, we strive to maintain a safe and secure working environment and are committed to respecting the human rights and individuality of every person.

1. Our Commitment to Human Rights

All executives and employees of Acima Corporation (“we”) contribute to the development of a sustainable society by respecting human rights in all aspects of our business operations.
We hereby establish this Human Rights Policy and pledge to adhere to its principles.

2. Scope and Reference Frameworks

We comply with international human rights standards* as well as Acima’s Code of Conduct.
Across all business operations, we respect the cultures and customs of the countries and regions in which we operate and make every effort to avoid involvement in discrimination or human rights violations.
We also require our suppliers and business partners to respect and uphold these same principles.

3. Respect for Diversity and Prohibition of Harassment

We respect every individual and do not tolerate discrimination or unfair treatment based on political beliefs, ideology, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical characteristics, illness, age, nationality, race, ethnicity, or any other attribute.
We ensure equal opportunity in recruitment, evaluation, development, placement, compensation, and promotion, and foster an inclusive workplace where diverse talent can thrive.
We strictly prohibit all forms of discrimination and harassment and conduct regular training to prevent such behavior.

4. Prohibition of Forced Labor and Child Labor

From the perspective of protecting fundamental human rights, we strictly prohibit all forms of forced labor and child labor, and conduct business in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

5. Management of Working Hours and Compensation

In accordance with labor laws and labor-management agreements, we establish appropriate rules for working hours, breaks, overtime, night work, holidays, and leave.
We also set compensation regulations that comply with statutory requirements such as minimum wage, legally mandated payments/deductions, and overtime payments, and ensure wages are paid directly to employees.

6. Freedom of Association and Respect for Collective Bargaining Rights

We respect employees’ rights to form or join labor unions—or to refrain from doing so—based on their own free will.
We recognize the right to collective bargaining and engage in good-faith discussions with employee representatives.

7. Employee Health and Safety

We strive to ensure a healthy and safe working environment by prioritizing the physical and mental well-being of our employees.
We comply with all laws and regulations related to safety and hygiene and take appropriate measures to address health risks.

8. Freedom of Expression and Privacy Protection

We recognize the importance of freedom of expression and privacy in communication—including online and on social media—and take every precaution to prevent violations of these rights.
We treat all customers fairly and equitably and are committed to providing safe and convenient services.

9. Human Rights Due Diligence and Reporting Systems

To prevent human rights violations, we maintain appropriate reporting channels and implement human rights due diligence to assess the potential impacts of our business activities.
We continuously monitor, evaluate, and report on these impacts.
If any negative human rights impact arises from our business activities, we respond promptly and appropriately through fair and equitable remediation processes.

10. Communication and Governance

Human rights initiatives at Acima are overseen by the Human Rights Subcommittee under the Risk Management Committee, which includes the Chief Executive Officer.
We promote awareness and implementation of this Human Rights Policy among all executives, employees, and external stakeholders.

11. Establishment and Revision of This Policy

Established on November 1, 2023.
